If you read the manufacturer’s recommendations when it comes to changing the oil in your vehicle, you will most likely see that it should occur every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. Keep in mind, however, that this recommendation is based on normal driving conditions that apply to much of the country. Typically, this means that you drive four to five days each week the year-round. Plus, Las Vegas is known to have heavy dust coming in from time to time which means you need to change out your air filter as well.
One exception to the 3,000-mile rule is using premium oil synthetic that is designed to take the harsh conditions. This will allow you to extend your Las Vegas oil change to every 6,000 miles. Naturally, you will still need to check the fluids and do a once-over on your motor to ensure that everything is running normally.
