Refurbished Iphone

Finding Your Perfect Pre-Loved Phoned

Refurbished iPhones are expensive. Given that a smartphone is one of the most essential items to own these days – acting as everything from our bank accounts and payment software to our social organizer and personal shopper – it comes as no surprise that the asking price for a mobile phone has shot up, especially for people who want to buy outright. Those of us who remember the days of the original Nokia 3310 certainly never expected the day when a phone would cost nearly £1000!

But then, we never expected the iPhone to revolutionize the Mobile Phone industry either. Since its first generation, the iPhone has been the most desirable phone to have, and that has not changed. But with the newest versions of the iPhone being so expensive, looking at refurbished options has become a viable way to get your hands on the best technology.

With Refurbished phones, you can pick from a wide variety of options – everything from a Refurbished iPhone 8 Plus to the most recent iPhone 13 Pro Max and buy them outright for far less than you’d pay for a new phone. And without tying yourself to an expensive contract alongside your purchase.

Making The Grade

It can initially be daunting when looking for a refurbished phone – there is a wide selection of options and prices available for the discerning customer and knowing where to start is the best way to look for your perfect new phone.

The most important thing to look for when you’re shopping for a refurbished phone is the grade. Every refurbished retailer uses a grading system to show the condition of their products, and while the grading system isn’t standardized, they’ll all be fairly close to each other.

Phones are typically graded from D to A, with D showing more cosmetic damage, and A having the tiniest of marks and virtually indiscernible from a brand-new model.

For a grade D phone, you’ll be looking at scratches on the screen and back, in line with a phone that has seen heavy typical use over its lifespan. Importantly, these marks will not affect the functionality of a phone as there is a Grade ‘E’ for faulty items.

Grade C phones will have a few marks that can be easily hidden by a case and screen protector.

Grade B’s will have a couple of minor marks that will be relatively hard to spot.

And finally, a Grade A will be as close to new as you can get, with perhaps a single mark that would be very hard to detect.

Priced To Match

Naturally, the price of the phone you’re looking for will scale with the grade. A Grade A phone, for example, will be more expensive than a Grade C, as it is in better condition – but even a Grade A phone is likely to cost far less than a brand new version of the same phone.

Choosing a refurbished phone can be a step away from the usual method of choosing a new mobile phone, but the benefits can outweigh any issues you might have – lower monthly prices and access to your dream phone can definitely make the refurbished option appeal.
